The Next Chapter in my Career

After almost two-and-a-half years as Sr. Web Manager for Desiring God ministries, I will be moving on into the wide world of Web consulting, starting February 1st.

I am proud of what the team has accomplished since Oct 16 of 2009, I think we developed some ground breaking technology for international distribution of high-quality, free, Gospel resources. I got to work with one of the most friendly, in-sync, talented teams I’ve ever seen on the Web team. I was humbled and instructed by the attitudes, community, heart, vision, and conduct of the organization as a whole. The 8 core values of DG are ones that I will take with me for the rest of my life. The Mission of DG is my life mission. I learned valuable new tools, and was blessed to make some incredible friends during this time.

I look forward to taking these new tools and fresh vision, and using them to benefit many organizations and businesses in the future! If you are in need of clear and effective Web strategy, content strategy and information architecture, creative and technical advice, usability assessment, or cutting edge front-end development, you know where to find me.

We sure could use some help at the Society of Evangelical Arminians!  :-)

I guess we’ll find out whether we were predestined to work together or not! ;-)

(If you’re serious, I’d be happy to talk about it…)

Thanks, Matt, for taking it so nice.  For the most part, I was joking.  But, they have had some web issues, and the site probably does need someone with your expertise to overhaul it.  But, the Society doesn’t have a lot of money to spend on stuff like this.  I will bring up the idea, though.
