TED-Ed Lesson: Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity, with David Allen

Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free ProductivityImplementing David Allen’s Getting Things Done methodology has changed my life in terms of being able to accomplish tasks and especially having the creative head-space to think and dream, and execute on those dreams.  By no means have  I perfected this, and I still let a lot of things drop (something about the way I’m wired consumes every ounce of available creative energy and seeks to do something about it, which is a major flaw).   However, I have benefitted greatly from this way of thinking and doing.

For a quick overview of what this process is, check out this great lesson at TED-Ed, which gives a great overview of GTD.  The whole thing (video + quiz to help you remember core principles) will take about 25 minutes. It’s well worth it.

After watching it, perhaps you’ll see why I unreservedly exhort you to buy his book, read it, and do it.  Taking the week or so away from your normal every day tasks to read and implement this book will pay massive dividends in very short order.
