Did NASA Find Extraterrestrial Life?

NASA Sets News Conference on Astrobiology Discovery

“WASHINGTON — NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe. “

If I had to guess at the finding it goes something like this:

We have discovered that we are running out of funds, and if you don’t keep funding us we’ll never know for sure if we’re alone in the universe or not!

But finding microbial life will certainly add a lot of noise to evolutionary theory. This should be interesting.
