Jesus warns against two dangerous approaches to prayer: praying publicly to impress others like the hypocrites, and using repetitive, empty words like the Gentiles who believe lengthy prayers are more effective. Instead, He instructs believers to pray privately and sincerely, seeking God alone rather than human recognition or attempting to manipulate God through verbose petitions.
