Protestants are defined as those who protest against church teachings that differ from "the faith once for all delivered to the saints," as described in Jude 1:3-4. The Five Solas—grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, Scripture alone, and glory to God alone—serve as the biblical foundation that defines the true Gospel and refutes false teachings. These Latin phrases summarize that salvation comes by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone, for God's glory alone.
