Jesus' promise in Acts 1:8 that his followers would receive power and become witnesses "to the ends of the earth" was fulfilled throughout the 28 chapters of Acts and continues today. The early church described in Acts mirrors the modern church in its unstoppable, gospel-powered mission and provides the pattern for how churches should function today. This pattern includes five key characteristics: worshipping, caring, proclaiming, expanding, and never fearing.
