The American church faces a crisis of unity as the term "evangelical" has shifted from meaning gospel-focused to being associated with political ideology, while practicing Christianity has declined dramatically from 50% to 25% of Americans between 2009-2019. Alarmingly, only 52% of self-identified evangelicals actually qualify as practicing Christians, with many attending church once a year or less. This sermon addresses the urgent need for conservative Bible churches to prioritize unity around their mission despite disagreements, particularly in light of these troubling trends in American Christianity.
