Leona Tomlinson: Understanding Disabilities when Designing a Website

Leona Tomlinson rounds up a great list of considerations when building a Web site to help ensure that it is actually accessible, rather than systematically meeting a list of guidelines.

Guidelines and standards definitely have their use and validity. However, I believe the current ones by no means address all considerations. The WCAG 2.0 is very promising, but as I have conducted a training course on it, I found out many of its shortcomings.
